Rent-A-Son, Inc: Home Watch Service
We created the Rent-A-Son Homewatch service in response to second homeowners’ need to maintain peace of mind during the winter months. It includes both exterior and interior inspections, and our focus is to identify the early signs of potential issues, damage, or attempted forced entry.
Exterior inspections include checking for any damage including clogged downspouts and gutters, missing roof tiles or siding shingles, broken/damaged windows or anything else that can occur due to the high winds and cold temperatures that are so prevalent during the winter season on Cape Cod. Interior inspections begin with turning the water on at the main valve to allow the boiler to fill to the appropriate level. While that is being done any kitchen appliances that are left operational are checked to ensure they are working and the entire house is inspected for leaks including all doors & windows, ceilings, as well as the attic and basement. Finally, the water main is shut off again, and all the faucets and toilets are drained so the pipes are not left vulnerable to freezing.
We keep a detailed listing of all items checked during each visit and e-mail a weekly report to you, our client, should anything we note require attention. When appropriate, digital photos are also taken, and included for purposes of documentation or explanation.
Scheduling options for home visits include: weekly, bi-monthly, after a storm / power outage, or at customized intervals. Our competitive pricing packages start as low as $15.00 per visit.
